About Us

At present, the company has two owners: Gerard Smith, Founder, along with General Partner Bryan Anderson.

Combined they have over 55 years of experience in the credit and collections world and are experts in their field.

Founder, Gerard Smith has been in the Collections industry since 1991. Working his way up from a Junior Collector, to Mentor, to Collection Manager to Vice President of Collections, overseeing over 500 employees and over 50 clients. These clients range from Citibank, Bank of America, and JP Morgan Chase, to large and small debt buyers alike.

After overseeing the monumental expansion of a small collection agency to become one of the larger, most successful players in the industry, Mr. Smith helped start up a collection agency from the ground up, a task some might argue impossible in this age of compliance and regulations. Despite these obstacles, he helped guide this agency to landing several major debt buyers and securing over $50 Million dollars of inventory. When you combine this experience from the collections world, with real-life experience of bad debt, good debt, and knowledge of industry regulations there is no one better suited to help people learn and or recover from no credit or bad credit. He has lived the blueprint and already helped many people improve their credit lives.

General Partner, Bryan Anderson shares a similar path. Starting as a junior collector, he worked his way up to work at some of the largest banks in the country, eventually taking over a small group of agents and becoming a collection manager.

After a long run of collections, Bryan ventured into the music industry and used his credit and collection knowledge to build a very successful music label. After developing this brand, he then returned to the very important world of student loans. His experience in this industry will be incredibly helpful for the college population that we speak with, and his experience building his own company, along with the contacts he has made along the way will prove to be invaluable to the GSD Guy LLC.

Mr. Smith and Mr. Anderson are our 50/50 Partners.

The GSD Guy will provide knowledge on the credit world, teaching customers about credit from the start. We will include the delinquencies of debt, how to manage credit, improve it and maintain it.

In addition, for those customers that are already in this predicament, The GSD Guy will help them navigate through the collections world. Teaching them techniques, lingo and how to deal with a collection agency and or debt buyer.

The GSD Guy will not only help repair a customer’s credit, but we will also help educate them so it never happens again. The GSD Guy will be an odd company in that, we never want repeat customers!
